The Eastern State Penitentiary

Featured in: Twelve Monkeys
The Eastern State Penitentiary, which served as the setting for the film's asylum. The prison was opened in 1829 as part of a movement to change the behavior of inmates through confinement in solitude with labor. It would go on to hold inmates as infamous as Al Capone.
